DEVICES INSTALL

How to apply iLink1 and iLink2 on excavator

  • iLink1 > Lift arm.
  • iLink2 > Indenter arm.

The devices must be positioned anywhere on the longitudinal axis of the arm, with the magnets that hook onto it and the body of the device that “looks towards the ground”, paying attention to the alignment with the axis of the arm itself. The arrow must be pointing as in the figure.

How to apply iLink3 on excavator

The device must be placed in a flat and stable place, so that the magnets are pointing towards the ground and the arrow points outwards. It is recommended to place it inside the quick coupler, if present, or on the forks connected to the piston, integral with the movement of the bucket.

How to apply iLink on Shovel and Shovel

  • iLink1 > Lift arm, placing the device anywhere on the arm, with the body “looking up to the sky”. The arrow must be pointing as in the figure.
  • iLink2 > Bucket, the device must be positioned on a specific bracket, created specifically to comply with the vehicle. The arrow must be pointing as in the figure.

Stirrup creation specifications: The support must be made in such a way that the angle it makes with respect to the ground is parallel to the segment that joins the end of the bucket with the bucket rotation joint.

ISSUES

I have paired the devices but it does not show CONNECT

Try pairing again on each tile. If it still doesn’t appear, we suggest turning off the sensors and turning them back on to carry out the process again.

I can't find the devices on the MEASURE screen

Have you checked that:

  • Bluetooth has been activated?
  • Has the Geolocation of the mobile phone been an activity?
  • Is the authorization to access Bluetooth and Geolocation by the APP active?
  • Did you turn on the devices only after positioning yourself on this page of the APP?

I move one of the two arms upwards but the values are negative (or vice versa)

Have you checked that:

  • Have the devices been placed in the corresponding arms? (see sticker on the body or review FAQ “How to apply iLink1 and iLink2”)
  • Is the direction of the arrows on the bodies as indicated?
  • Are the devices positioned in the correct front of the arm? (see sticker on the body or review FAQ “How to apply iLink1 and iLink2”)

Insertion of excavator measurements

  • AB: Straight distance between the center of the two pivot pins at the end of the lift arm
  • BC: Straight distance between the center of the two pivot pins at the end of the indenter arm
  • CD: Straight distance between the center of the pivot pin and the bucket tip
  • OA: perpendicular distance between the ground plane and the center of the rotation pin of the lifting arm

Insertion of measurements of the half shovel / mini shovel

  • AB: Straight distance between the center of the two pivot pins at the end of the lift arm
  • BC: Straight distance between the center of the pivot pin and the tip of the bucket
  • BO: Perpendicular distance between the ground plane and the center of the bucket rotation pin. Measurement from center pin with bucket bottom resting on ground.
  • OA: perpendicular distance between the ground plane and the center of the rotation pin of the lifting arm.

Saving measurements in memory

After entering the measurements of the vehicle, it is possible to use a special button to store the measurements, up to a maximum of 5 profiles (“Profile 1”, “Profile 2” etc…).
You can access future saved profiles in the “Vehicle List” section of the “Settings”.
On the Remote Dashboard, there is no limit to the number of profiles that can be stored.

Checks before starting use

Before starting, it is advisable to check on your mobile phone that Bluetooth and Geolocation (iOS or Android) are activated.

Connecting to sensors

After entering the measurements of the vehicle or selecting it from the “Vehicle List”, follow these steps:
– Go to the “Measure” screen (lower left corner of the app).
– Only then turn on the devices, which will appear listed on the screen.
– On first installation, bind the devices to the corresponding arm by clicking on the box for each device. Associations must match the stickers on each body (iLink1 > Lift arm; iLink2 > Indenter arm; iLink3 > Bucket).
– Once the association has been made, click CONNECT.

SPECIFICATIONS

What is calibration for?

It is used to define the ground floor on which the tracks of the vehicle are positioned. In the case of activity carried out on a horizontal plane, the more stable the positioning of the tracks on an equally horizontal plane, the more precise the measurement provided by the system.

What does the depth displayed on the screen indicate

It indicates the perpendicular distance that exists at this instant between the tip of the bucket and the horizontal plane defined during calibration. The measurement is given in meters.

What distance indicates

The default distance indicates the projection on the horizontal plane of the distance between the tip of the bucket and the rotation pin of the lift arm. However, it is possible to provide a zero point to your liking (by placing the tip of the bucket on that point). By zeroing this point, the displayed distance will be positive by extending the arms of the vehicle, or vice versa negative by moving in the opposite direction.

Change bucket size

If you need to change buckets, there is no need to change dimensions on the Remote Dashboard or on Vehicle Geometries; just click the Change Bucket icon and enter the new dimensions. In this way, the system will use the size entered on the gearbox for the current measurement only, without making a definitive change in the size of the vehicle.

Where to check the battery charge

The battery charge percentage is displayed on the main measurement screen at the top left.

How to recharge batteries

The batteries are located inside the body.

It is not necessary to replace them as they contain a module that can be recharged through the USB cable and transformer supplied with the basic kit.

APP FEATURES

Activation of the ESCARPMENT feature

This feature is available for the iLink®Pro 3 Sensors setup only (with Bucket sensor). To use it:

  1. Select the SLOPE icon at the bottom center
  2. Select the type of SLOPE you are performing: UP, DOWN, or V-SLOPE
  3. Choose between AUTOMATIC or MANUAL mode:

AUTOMATIC: requires the fraction of the slope or its % gradient, the maximum height of the slope and then to position the tip of the bucket on the start point of the slope.

MANUAL: will require in two stages to position the tip of the bucket at the start and end point of the slope.

What the Grading Feature Reports

At the end of the setting phase, a screen will appear with the drawing of the slope and in real time the position of the bucket with respect to the profile.

The displayed value corresponds to the vertical distance between the bucket tip and the slope profile at that specific point.
